Press Monkeys, is a movement, exhibition, and exploration of letterpress printing, wood type, and analog printmaking. This project is an extension of my personal infatuation with letterpress and printmaking as well as an exploration in the importance of handmade objects and processes as we move towards automatization, artificial intelligence, and living in a digital environment.

As a designer I love all things printing, production, and outdated. My project, Press Monkey, is created to show the slower, hands-on side of creating in graphic design that seems to be getting lost in the march towards automatization. I hope my work can help everyone fall back in love with the craftsmanship and production that goes into creating. After graduation I plan on continuing my work around letterpress, analog processes, and all things printing.
