Whilst growing up in South Africa, my mother taught me how to cook from a young age. Wanting to combine my love for cooking with my upbringing, I created Soutie, a South African-based salt brand.

Soutie focuses on elevating the taste of food by infusing bold flavors such as truffle and Shiraz wine into the salt flakes. Featuring a hand-drawn elements and a unique color pallete, the branding of Soutie aims to be warm and inviting, just like South Africa. Not only does Soutie reflect South Africa's rich culinary heritage and laid-back lifestyle, but it also reflects me personally, where I come from, and my love for cooking.

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, and I have always loved the arts. After I graduated high school, I took a couple of gap years, moved to Texas for work, found the Graphic Design and UX Design program and gave it a shot. One of my best decisions, which has helped me grow my passion and love for design. I have no idea what my future holds, but I am incredibly excited and I can not wait to pursue a job within this field.
